No where is there a place to change my email account settings. I log in and it takes me to a page to change MicrosoftĪccount settings.

PC settings, select "accounts," then "your account." There are only a couple of options on that page so I select "More account settings online" which takes me to a web page where it asks for my password. To change or remove this account you will need to go to settings and then change PC settings." I go to change At the bottom it says "This is the Microsoft account you use to log in to Windows and sync settings with your other PC's. However if I select the main email account All of the other accounts show the settings for incoming and outgoing server and port setting, which I can change. I select accounts, then the account I want to change. From the windows 8Įmail client I swipe in and go to settings.

I simply want to change to settings on my default email account (the one I use to log in to windows). Ok, I'm not sure if people are understanding what I am asking.

I could add a newĪccount with the correct settings again, then change my microsoft account to use that one, but I can't figure out how to do that. That didn't work because it won't even OPEN the mail app without signing into a microsoft account. Thought I could change to a local account, go into the mail app and delete the one I want to change then go back to my microsoft account. I tried changing to a local account then back, but it just signed back it the way it was and didn't give me any options to change the settings. Old one and re-add it, but it won't let me delete the email server I use to sign into my microsoft account. I didn't want two of the same email addresses on my mail app so I deleted the new account, but I can't seem to change the server settings for the main account used by my microsoft account.

New settings and verified that it does work. I can't seem to find a way to change the server settings on the default mail account so I added a new account to my mail app for the same email address with the Out that they have added an IMAP server at my ISP, with a different server address and port, etc. At the time my ISP had only a POP server so I was unable to use the native mail app.

I use my ISP email address for my primary email so when I first got my windows 8 computer I set up my microsoft account to sign in with that email address.
